A yellow weather warning has been issued for tomorrow (Saturday 17th January) for snow and ice.
There is a 90 per cent probability of severe cold weather and icy conditions in parts of England.
This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services.
The Level 3 ‘severe weather action’ alert states that widespread overnight frosts will be the main contributor to low temperatures.
Forecasters say some wintry precipitation can be expected for most areas too, mostly in the form of scattered showers, leading to lying snow and icy stretches in places.
