Following the successful re-launch at the end of January, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s Mansfield & Ashfield Group has a range of exciting events planned for Spring.
The group’s next meeting will be on Tuesday 27th March at 7pm at the Bridge Street Methodist Church in Mansfield.
The session will feature a presentation from Wildlife Trust Chief Executive John Everitt about the Trust’s activities and aspirations and the ways that the Mansfield & Ashfield Local Group can contribute, a discussion about how the group can play a role in evaluating and advising on the environmental impact of planning applications across the Mansfield and Ashfield area and a talk from Andy Lowe about Budby Heath and the Major Oak
In May Andy Lowe, a locally based bird expert who works as the charity’s Western Conservation Offcer, will return to lead a guided walk around Budby and The Major Oak. The walk will take place on the evening of the 29th May.
Speaking about the group, Wildlife Trust communications manager Erin McDaid, said: “Our Mansfield and Ashfield Group has traditionally been one of our most successful and active groups and its great that they have put together a series of interesting events for the spring. Our local group events are open to members and non members and we look forward to welcoming some new faces over the coming months.”
