Nominate your Sherwood Forest Hospitals hero

PEOPLE are being invited to put forward nominations for their ‘hospital hero’ ahead of Sherwood Forest Hospital Trust’s ‘People’s Award’.

The award recognises an outstanding hospital employee who provides exceptional service above and beyond the call of duty.

Nominations can come from anyone in the communities served by King’s Mill and Newark hospitals and Mansfield and Ashfield Community hospitals.

Interim Chairman of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Chris Mellor, said: “This award aims to recognise the efforts of staff whose dedication, concern, passion and commitment has ensured that exceptional care is delivered to patients in hospital and the community.

“There is a vast number of extraordinary members of staff working for our Trust who go above and beyond for patients, and these awards are a great opportunity for locals to acknowledge these special people.”

There are three ways to send in a nomination: by writing to People’s Award, FREEPOST RLSJ-BGTL-XRUY, Membership Response Centre, King’s Mill Hospital, Mansfield Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4JL, logging on to the People’s Award con on the homepage of the Trust’s website www.sfh-tr.nhs.uk or by emailing thepeoples.award@sfh-tr.nhs.uk.

All nominations must state the full name and department of the person being nominated as well as the hospital and include the name, address and telephone number of the nominator.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is 30th June.

The winner will be announced at the Trust’s Annual Staff Excellence Awards Ceremony in September.
