MUSIC lovers going to this year’s Headstock Festival in Newstead will be allowed to camp at the site for free as trains on the Robin Hood Line from Nottingham will not be running over the weekend.
The event, from 9th-11th September, is close to Newstead station - although there will be replacement buses running.
Anyone who has bought a camping ticket online will get a refund and folk who have got a ticket directly from an outlet will also be re-embursed from the vendor or at the festival itself.
Trains will run as normal on Friday night, with the last one leaving Newstead at 11.05pm and normal service will resume from Monday morning.
Regular buses from Mansfield and Sutton to Newstead will continue to run as normal during the festival.
Organisers are also looking to put on town transport. Details can be found at www.headstockfestival.com.
