EXPERTS have yet to find a vaccine or solution to the mystery illness which struck down dogs walked at local beauty spots the last two summers.
A report has been presented to Nottinghamshire county councillors following an investigation into Seasonal Canine Illness.
The report says there were 13 reported cases at the end of last summer, 10 in the Sherwood area and three at Clumber Park.
Chairman of the study group Coun Geoff Merry and the team have come up with several recommendations, including putting up signs in time for next year and further discussions with other landowners. The findings, presented to a council meeting last Monday, also call for a site visit from experts at the Animal Health Trust if there is an outbreak again.
