Newly-elected Bolsover district and town councillors announced

Bolsover District Council has confirmed two election results for the region. Following elections last Thursday, Labour candidate Susan Statter was elected in a district council election to become a district councillor for the Bolsover North West Ward.

On the same day, Independent candidate Chris Christopher was elected after an Old Bolsover Town Council election to represent the North West Ward as a town councillor.

Newly-elected District Cllr Statter received 174 votes to beat UK Independence party member John Bagshaw, on 153, and Conservative Maxine Hunt, on 60.

Newly-elected Town Cllr Christopher received 166 votes to beat Labour’s Alan Tudor on 118 votes and UKIP’s John Bagshaw on 109 votes.
