A NEW officer has joined the police beat team patrolling the Bolsover area.

Pc Pete Harley, who has been an officer in Derbyshire for more than 10 years, has taken over from Pc Dan Evans, who is now covering the Tibshelf area.

He joins Police Community Support Officers Nicola Greenfield and Benjamin Perry.

Pc Harley is also no stranger to neighbourhood policing, having spent four years on the Shirebrook and Langwith Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Pc Harley said: “I’ve worked in and around the Bolsover area for most of my policing career so I’m familiar with the area. As well as getting to know the community I’m aware that issues around anti-social behaviour are of concern to local residents.

“My aim is to build on the good work the team have already carried out in Bolsover and also hope to be able to take a more hands on role in supporting more vulnerable members of the community.”
