The Mansfield Community & Voluntary Service (CVS) have forged a partnership with Mansfield-based web agency SF Media to deliver a brand new website and community portal free of charge.
Mansfield CVS work to develop and support the Mansfield community, acting as the voice for the voluntary sector to local authorities and councils.
The new-look Mansfield CVS website, set for launch later this year, will not only help to promote their services and their ongoing work in the town, but will also act as a portal to connect the local community.
It will include a range of useful resources to the voluntary sector and frontline groups, as well as a members directory, an updated news section and local events calendar.
Web development and online marketing agency SF Media have offered to complete the £10,000 project free of charge - which also includes free ongoing website hosting and technical support for Mansfield CVS to further underline their commitment to the local community.
Having already completed various community projects, including several mentoring sessions with students at West Notts College, Directors Peter Scully and Jamie Fryatt hope that the new Mansfield CVS website will help to benefit Mansfield and bring the local community together.
Mr Scully said: “We are proud to be partnered with Mansfield CVS and to be involved with delivering a platform that will benefit the whole community.
“We originally met with Mansfield CVS to offer some free advice and to help them plan their online strategy, but after hearing about all the fantastic local projects they were involved in, it became apparent that something needed to be done to highlight the great work they do - and we are delighted to be able to help.”
Mansfield CVS Marketing Co-ordinator Kate Boughton added, “We were blown away by Peter and Jamie’s offer to help us free of charge. We want to create a website that not only showcases the work the team at Mansfield CVS do, but also features news, events and links useful to the groups we support and the local voluntary sector as a whole.
“Jamie and Peter seemed to instantly understand what we need our website to do, so I am confident they will do a fantastic job. We are very excited to see the end product! “
The project is in the early stages of planning and development, with the website launch planned for the end of September 2014 to coincide with the Mansfield CVS AGM, which will showcase the new-look website to its members.
