A new-look, modernised post office at Mansfield Woodhouse is to receive the stamp of approval.
The Station Street post office, which opens at 1 pm on Monday 16th March, will offer convenient, quick service from three serving positions, with an open-plan layout.
Says area manager Lesley Frankland: “We are confident that this vibrant, new-style post office at the heart of the community will meet customer needs.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, and will secure services for the future. The investment marks a commitment to a programme of no more branch closures.
“We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”
Customers will be able to access the full range of Post Office and mail services, including special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.
They will also be able to make cash withdrawals from a Post Office card account, send funds abroad using Moneygram, pay bills, buy holiday money, get insurance, mortgages and savings and top up mobile phones.
As the traditional banking network declines, customers for the majority (95%) of UK banks can use their post office for online banking cash deposits and withdrawals and bill payments.
The new-look post office will be open from 8.30 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 5.30 pm on Saturday.
