NOTTINGHAMSHIRE County Council has introduced its new look website front page today (Wednesday).
Visitors to the site have risen by 53 per cent in the last six months, with the Council now has around 290,000 visitors to its website every month.
The Council also has around 5,300 followers on Twitter.
Council Leader Kay Cutts said: “Improvements to our website are all part of our ongoing commitment to providing better public information and improving access to council services.
“Nottinghamshire County Council’s in-house digital team have been making improvements to the website for the last 12 months, focussing on the 20 most visited areas of the site.
“In the future we want to make it easier for people to do things quickly and easily online. You can already renew library books, report potholes and apply for school places. In the future we hope you’ll be able to do much more including buying tickets for events and applying for County Council jobs online.”
