FIREFIGHTERS were forced to cut a motorist free from a car following a crash on the A614 at Rufford.
The two-car incident happened at around 4.20pm yesterday (Tuesday) and appliances from Edwinstowe and Mansfield attended.
Two people had managed to free themselves from their vehicles before the fire crews arrived. It was described as a T-bone crash in which one vehicle smashed head-on into the side of another.
They used equipment to cut the person free who was then to taken to hospital.
The road was closed for several hours in both directions.
