A SHIREBROOK business is helping this year’s Miss Mansfield Chelsea Edgington realise her dreams of competing in next week’s prestigious Miss England competition in Birmingham.
Chelsea is now looking forward to fighting it out against other hopefuls from across the UK thanks to sponsorship from Ian Nichol, from I&N Fabrication.
Trish Mapletoft, organiser of the Miss Mansfield competition, said: “I want to say a big thank-you to Ian for all his support this year and in the future.
“He’s been onboard for the last 18 months so a big thank-you to him for that.”
On Friday, Chelsea and Trish met Ian and former Miss Mansfield Julie Marshall, who is now co-owner of Il Rosso at Mansfield, to discuss a charity night which will take place at the restaurant on 21st August in aid of Chelsea’s chosen charity, PASIC.
Trish and stylist Donna Munks, from The Works Hair and Beauty in Mansfield, will be joining Chelsea at the Miss England competition next week - and Trish is urging Chad readers to vote for her ahead of the event.
The competitors with the most text votes will automatically go through to the final 15.
This week it has been revealed that the top prize in this year’s Miss Mansfield will be an all-expenses paid trip to compete in Miss England when the winner will be able to promote the town and their chosen charity.
To vote for Chelsea, text 12Mansfield&SherwoodForest to 84205 before Tuesday (texts are charged at 60p plus standard network rate).
