STAGECOACH Theatre Arts School in Mansfield is continuing to go from strength to strength after marking 10 years in the town.

The Mansfield theatre school offers quality training in drama, dance and singing to young people from 4-18 at weekend’s where classes are designed to build confidence and develop communication through performance skills.

The school is one of 620 through the UK and young performers will be taking part in the Stagecoach network’s 25th anniversary next year, where all of the school’s main pupils will be doing a show at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal Concert Hall in July.

Principal Victoria Elizaga says that some of the theatre school’s members go on to work in television, radio and on the stage.

“I hear from children’s primary school teachers that they can tell when pupils have been going to Stagecoach, they are working better, their concentration skills are better and they are more confident. I get a real buzz from that,” she said.

The school, which is based at St Philip Neri Primary School, is also inspected by Ofsted each year.

“As we only take 15 students in each class, we pride ourselves in giving the best education and protection to these students,” added Victoria.

“Structures and processes are there for a reason - to benefit our children, so inspections are a real plus for us.”

Stagecoach Mansfield is now enrolling for the new term in January.
