A Mansfield mum has been given a two-month curfew after punching a woman in the face in a town centre store on 7th June.
Mansfield magistrates were told how Adele Spencer (36), of Mappleton Drive, assaulted her daughter’s boyfriend’s mother in Marks & Spencer after the woman told her she was a bad mother.
Neil Hollett, prosecuting, said Spencer grabbed the woman by the hair and punched the side of her face.
Annette Thomas, defending, said: “Ms Spencer shows remorse for what she has done and admits it was wrong.
“She was fully cooperative when arrested and cannot believe where she now finds herself.”
Spencer was also ordered to pay £60 compensation and £40 court costs.
