Baggaley Construction has honoured some of its staff who have been helping to cement the growing reputation of the award-winning Mansfield contractor.

It has just held its own annual awards night, with the winners of five categories announced following a company-wide nominations process.

The event, held at Eastwood Hall, saw quantity surveyor Alex Chapman win the Our Customers Award after being nominated for ‘embodying the Baggaley values through excellent work’ on a project to refurbish Rotherham Civic Theatre, and his professionalism, cheerfulness and enthusiasm.

The Our Delivery Promise Award went to the company’s Administration Team, the ‘unsung heroes’ whose work to provide support to construction and procurement personnel has increased efficiency and reduced wastage.

The company’s The Way We Work Award was presented to the Lubrizol Team for their ability to deliver successful work through effective communication with all parties.

Management trainee Lewis Atkin took home the Our People Award for his commitment to his job role, his personal development and learning, his efficiency and his skill in client liaison.

The final award, the Chairman’s Award, went to project manager Kevin Taylor, for effective mentoring and personal development of others, and consistently delivering EMPA (East Midlands Property Alliance) projects to excellent standards and to the customers’ satisfaction.

Managing director Phil Askin said: “The company owes its reputation to the work of the people within it and our awards evening is a great way to say thank you and honour those who go beyond the extra mile to help us maintain our position.

“Congratulations go to the awards winners and also to all those whose talent, commitment and efficiency mean that we remain a leading construction partner of choice to clients in the public and private sectors.”
