GET your motor running. . . Mansfield Roadrunners Scooter Club revved up a treat on Sunday by raising £1,898 for King’s Mill Hospital.

The rally involved between 500 and 550 scooter riders setting off from the Talbot Inn pub in Mansfield to deliver Easter eggs, toys and premature baby clothing to staff and children in the Neonatal Unit at King’s Mill Hospital.

Riders handed over a £1,850 cheque, as well as £48 in cash on the day, from raffles and donations as part of the annual ‘Eggs to the Mill’ fundraiser.

“We had a fantastic turn out, it was even better than last year and the good weather helped,” said club member Shaun Clibbery.

The scooter riders left the Talbot Inn on Nottingham Road before doing a circuit of the town and arriving at King’s Mill for the presentation.
