ACTOR, adventurer and author Charley Boorman is taking a break from touring the globe to bring his show to Mansfield Palace Theatre on 4th November.
The pal of Hollywood megastar Ewan McGregor, the pair of petrol heads starred in the hugely popular TV documentary about a globe-spanning motorcycle trip, Long Way Round.
This year, Charley raised £100k for charity after taking part in reality gameshow Famous and Fearless, and there is another TV show on the way, about Charley’s adventures in Canada.
His new stage show features personal stories, film and clips and more, with presenter Billy Ward quizzing Charley about his upbringing - he is the son of film director John Boorman - his future projects and everything in between.
Charley said he was enjoying the tour so far and each show had been unique.
“There is a question and answer element to the show - it’s very interactive - and we are not sticking to a script so there is a spontaneity which keeps things interesting.
“I hope there is something for everyone and I think it shows - the audience are from all walks of life and aged eight to 80.”
There will be an opportunity to chat to Charley after the show.
Tickets are £15.50 from the box office on Mansfield 633133.
