Mansfield’s Rebecca Adlington was voted out of the jungle in a shock double eviction on last night’s I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
Twitter users were sad to see the Olympian voted out with Fresh Prince of Bel Air star Alfonso Ribeiro.
The eviction left the camp a quieter place as the number of celebs rapidly starts to dwindle.
But the 34-year-old said she ‘loved the experience and food has never tasted so good’ since leaving the Aussie outback.
She tweeted this morning: “Ahhhhh I’m out!!!!! Food has never tasted so good! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who voted for me! Means the world to me!!!
“I loved the experience and had such a laugh! I met 11 brilliant amazing people who I will be friends with for the rest of my life! #imaceleb”
The swimmer was interviewed on Daybreak this morning about her time in the jungle, tackling some of the rollercoaster emotions she faced on the show.
Rebecca said during the first few days that she was sensitive about her appearance after receiving cruel remarks on social media on a daily basis.
Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero showed her support for Rebecca as she was interviewed by Kate Garroway.
She tweeted: “@BeckAdlington on daybreak - if u’re not stick thinned, big boobed with gorgeous face, u’re still beautiful. Its beauty inside that counts.”
Fans took to Twitter to show their support for Rebecca after leaving the ITV show.
Frances Finn said: “I’m sorry, but how could ANYONE vote for the other women in the camp over @BeckAdlington?! Seriously. She’s an A1 rounded Notts individual.”
Dons Cuttress said: “I know I’m not the prettiest...” Rebecca Adlington, you are a STAR! And you are gorgeous, and an Olympian!! #RebeccaAdlington
And there were tears shed by fellow camp mates, Amy and Kian, after seeing both the celebrities voted off.
