An electronics business that is doing well in the virtual world has now opened a shop in the real world.

Ebox - Your Local Electronics Store has launched its physical presence in the former MTRS (TIS shop) at 20 White Hart Street, Mansfield.

The shop has been launched by Shaun Herrett and Charlotte O’Neill. The couple have been running their business selling through online retail sites, but had been thinking about getting premises where customers can visit their store in person and browse the range of products they sell.

Shaun used to work as an installer for Mansfield-based TIS. TIS asked Shaun if he wanted to take the premises on and he jumped at the chance.

Said Shaun: “We have built up a great online business and we don’t see any reason why we can’t replicate that in our Mansfield shop.”

The shop, which is open from 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday, sells everything from batteries and laptop chargers, to personalised phone covers and mobile phone accessories.

If people are looking for cables and connectors, Ebox can cut them to length and make them to specifications. Small home CCTV Systems are supplied and come with full advice and help during installation. Ebox will stay close to its roots and still sell everything it sold before.

Sarah Nelson, manager of Mansfield Business Improvement District, said: “It’s great to see that Shaun and Charlotte have seen the opportunity that being part of the town centre presents. Good luck to them.”
