Mansfield CVS enjoy Caribbean fun at the Mansfield Volunteers’ Market

Staff and volunteers from Mansfield Community & Voluntary Service (Mansfield CVS) turned out in force on Thursday to support the annual Mansfield Volunteers’ Market.

Mansfield CVS annually organise the Mansfield Volunteers’ Market; this year running it in conjunction with the Caribbean Festival of Fun in Mansfield Marketplace. The Volunteers’ Market provides an opportunity for local charities to raise funds, promote their services and talk directly to those interested in volunteering. This year, ten charities took part, alongside Mansfield District Council who were looking to recruit for their volunteer services.

The Mansfield CVS stall was manned by staff and volunteers from the Volunteer Centre who were there to promote volunteering services and opportunities across Mansfield and district. Mansfield CVS’s Health & Social Care Team were also present, raising awareness of the First Contact scheme which provides information on services available to those aged 60 and over in Mansfield to help them stay safe and independent in their own homes.

For further information on the services offered by Mansfield CVS, including details of volunteering opportunities and the First Contact scheme, please visit www.mansfieldcvs.org or call 01623 651177.
