Mansfield and Ashfield transport news

Welcome to the first in a regular guide to transport news across the Mansfield and Ashfield area, courtesy of the The Echo, talking newspaper for he blind.

Connect, the trent barton service which links the Hucknall tram terminus and rail station to the rest of the town now has a revised route and timetable starting this week.

It appears that most of the bus services operated in the Mansfield and Sutton area by Veolia Transport are being taken over by Premiere Travel. No changes to times are expected at this stage.

On East Midlands trains, you can enjoy cheap travel on the Robin Hood line between Nottingham, Mansfield and Worksop with the Sunday ticket promotion. Adults can buy a day return ticket between any two stations on the Robin Hood line for only £3 and children for £1.50 every Sunday until 22nd May.

Finally East Midlands Trains are introducing First Anytime Day Return and First Off Peak Day Return tickets between Leicester, Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield.
