A man suffered a broken arm in Mansfield after being hit by a car which then drove away.

The man was crossing Chesterfield Road South at its junction with Wood Street at about 11.33pm on Saturday 30th November when he was struck by the car.

He was taken to King’s Mill Hospital and treated for a broken arm and other minor injuries.

The car was travelling from the direction of Pleasley towards Mansfield town centre.

The man was wearing a woolly Manchester United hat, a black three quarter length coat, jeans and trainers.

Pc Ian Dickson said: “This happened late at night so if anyone saw anything they may not think they had a clear enough view but any information could help trace this driver.

“And if you remember someone arriving home and acting differently or even alluding to what had happened please get in touch.”
