POLICE and safety experts are investigating after a 50-year-old man from the Mansfield area died in an industrial incident at a Forest Town business on Friday afternoon.
The tragedy, described by police as an industrial incident, happened at Rettenmaier UK (Manufacturing) Incorporated, Strawberry Way, on the Crown Farm Industrial Estate.
A police spokesman said on Saturday that the force and the Health and Safety Executive are conducting a joint investigation into the incident. The man’s family has been informed.
The business makes pellets used as a stabilising additive for stone mastic asphalt, which forms a thin wearing course used in road construction.
