Man jailed after one too many breaches

A MANSFIELD Judge has jailed a drug addict after repeated breaches of community orders.

Lee Simrok (31) of Recreation Street, was caught by an electrician in the passenger seat of his van on 16th April, having taken several items had found there.

Robert Carr, prosecuting, told the magistrates’ court how Simrok handed back some of the items, which included a screwdriver, diazepam tablets, a Sat Nav and a roll of cable, then ran off.

Stephanie Deane, defending, said Simrok had issues with amphetamine and stole due to financial hardship.

But District Judge Michael Davison refused to suspend Simrok’s six-month jail term which he ordered due to his previous ‘poor performance’ under community orders.
