A Sutton man has been banned from driving for 18 months after admitting driving while twice over the legal alcohol limit.
Mansfield magistrates were told how Jaroslaw Galinski (33), of Bridge Close, was stopped by a police officer on Brick kiln Lane, Mansfield, on 21st December.
Robert Carr, prosecuting, told the court how he was seen overshooting a junction and stopping halfway over the road.
Michael Little, defending, said Galinski had drunk 4-5 pints with friends and attempted to drive home after being unable to get a taxi or contact his wife for a lift.
Galinski, who had agreed to undertake a drink-driving course, was fined £260 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £26.
