Woman injured in A38 crash dies

A woman injured in a crash in Sutton last week has died.

It happened on the A38, at its junction with Sutton/Kirkby Road, at about 9.20am on Thursday 17th July.

The incident involved a Ford Focus, a heavy goods vehicle, a Ford Transit van, a Mercedes Sprinter and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The driver of the Focus — 55-year-old Karen Lesley Wilson, from the Chesterfield area — was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre with critical injuries.

She died there on Friday 18th July.

Others were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
