Winter opening times for waste recycling centres in Nottinghamshire

BRITISH Summer Time comes to an end next Sunday, 28th October, and, with the clocks going back an hour, Nottinghamshire County Council’s Household Waste and Recycling Centres will switch to their winter opening times.

From next Sunday, all 14 HWRCs will be open seven days a week from 8am to 4pm until 1st March. Currently they are open until 6pm.

Last year Nottinghamshire County Council took the decision to keep all of its HWRCs open seven days a week and not to reduce their opening hours.

As a result, they are open from 8am every day of the year apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and close between 4 and 8pm, depending on the time of year.

The recycling centres are operated by the Council’s waste management contractor Veolia Environmental Services Nottinghamshire.
