Village’s Garden of Remembrance garden for Farnsfield

A Garden of Remembrance is to be created in Farnsfield as part of the Remembrance commemmorations.

It is being set up so that villagers can place a Poppy Cross in memory of a fallen relative and will be situated on the church side of the War Memorial in St Michael’s Churchyard on Main Street.

The garden, created by the church and Farnsfield RBL, will be open from the beginning of the Poppy Appeal on Saturday 27th October.

Farnsfield RBL member Trevor Wilds is researching details of those named on the War Memorial and would like to hear from anyone who could help. He can be contacted by telephone on 01623 882521 or by e mail t.wilds@sky.com
