VIDEO: Snow leaves Mansfield’s streets eerily quiet at rush hour

Waiting for Video...

SOME of Mansfield roads were quieter than usual during morning rush-hour today (Monday) following fresh snowfall overnight.

Up to five centimetres of snow blanketed much of Mansfield and Ashfield last night and this morning - in addition to the heavy falls which hit the area on Friday.

Many schools are closed today, which meant a quieter drive for motorists who braved the treacherous conditions to make the Monday morning commute into work.

Chad’s Ashley Booker captured this video of the eerily quiet roads - including Abbey Road, close to Abbey Primary School, Little Carter Lane, Pecks Hill and Newgate Lane.
