VIDEO: Gold post box in Kirkby for Paralympic star Ollie Hynd
A POST box in Kirkby-in-Ashfield has been painted gold to mark Ollie Hynd’s triumph at the Paralympics.
Ollie won the SM8 200 metres individual medley with an unstoppable performance at the Aquatics Centre.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a superb Paralympic debut and went into the race with a silver and bronze already.
The gold post box is on Chapel Street, just yards from where Ollie went to school at Orchard Primary.
Former teacher Vicky Jenkinson and current pupils paid tribute to the fantastic achievement.
