A VIETNAMESE man who grew cannabis worth hundreds of thousands of pounds at a Mansfield house has been jailed for 15 months.
Police acting on local intelligence raided the property in Princes Street in August and found about 200 plants of the class B drug.
Tuan Mai, who had been living in the property, tried to escape from officers by jumping from a first floor window, wearing a pair of flip-flops.
Officers caught and arrested the 35-year-old in a neighbouring garden.
He was taken to Kings Mill Hospital where he received treatment for a broken pelvis.
Further investigations at the property discovered fully grown cannabis plants in rooms on the first floor, in the attic and in the cellar.
Modifications had been made to the electrical supply at the terraced house to bypass the meter and power the ultra violet lamps and fans.
Following surgery, Mai appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court where he was committed to the crown court.
Mai pleaded guilty to producing cannabis at Nottingham Crown Court last week and was jailed for 15 months.
An order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed.
