Tributes paid to woman who plunged to her death from multi-storey car park

Mansfield's Four Seasons has paid a short tribute to the woman who died after falling from the roof of the shopping centre car park this morning.

The woman, who was in her 40s, plunged from the top of the building, it was reported.

Police and ambulance attended the scene this morning to tend to the woman who was then airlifted to hospital.

However, she later died from her injuries.

A spokesman for the Four Seasons said: “Our security team was alerted to an incident and emergency services were called and attended the scene.

“Following the incident, police are now conducting their investigation.

“Our thoughts are obviously with the friends and family of the individual concerned at this very difficult time.”

At this time, the incident is not being treated as suspicious. If anyone witnessed what happened and has yet to contact us they should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 280 of today, July 18.

Meanwhile, the top two levels of the car park remain closed.
