A MAN who died near a level crossing on Thursday is a 32-year-old from Rainworth, British Transport Police have confirmed.
He was struck by a train at Coxmoor Road in Sutton just after 6.30am on Thursday morning.
It is thought he accessed the track at a foot crossing.
Paramedics from the East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
