Golfers are being urged to tee off once again in memory of soldier Ashley Clarkson.

Ashley’s father, Wayne, is making an early call for players to sign up for the summer tournament, to raise cash to help stricken soldiers.

Twenty-three-year-old Ashley from Mansfield hanged himself in 2012 after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder following a tour of Iraq.

His family have devoted their lives to supporting others struggling after they leave the forces.

The competition is due to take place on Sunday, 22nd June at Mansfield Golf Club.

Wayne explained: “Once again we’re asking for teams of four, and cost will be £15 each to members and £20 each to non-members.

“More info will be given in the run up, but there will be ‘Beat the Pro’, and other challenges. Those with family can bring there kids, there will be a free bouncy castle and crazy golf for them.”

Anyone interested in taking part should phone Wayne on 07554 218999 or email wayne40.wendy30@hotmail.com
