Sutton teen is banned from street
15-year-old Justin Lamb, who has been banned from Welbeck Street for two years.
A 15-year-old boy from Sutton-in-Ashfield has been prohibited from entering a street in the town for two years.
Justin Lamb, formerly of Redcliffe Street, has been given an antisocial behaviour order (ASBO) after he was abusive to staff at the Framework Housing building in Welbeck Street and caused distress for other residents in the same road, including those living at a sheltered housing complex, in July this year.
The order bans him from entering or remaining in Welbeck Street or to drink alcohol in a public place or to use controlled drugs.
The order was obtained by PC Paul Carter, neighbourhood policing beat manager at Sutton-in-Ashfield, and supported by Ashfield District Council.
Pc Carter said: “Justin Lamb’s behaviour caused significant distress to people in Welbeck Street on this occasion, but his general pattern of behaviour has given cause for concern.
“In order to curb that behaviour and reduce the feeling of distress experienced by those living and working in Welbeck Street, an application for the order was made.
“Justin Lamb is now residing outside the Sutton area, but it is still important to publicise the order should he attempt to return to Welbeck Street, which would be a clear breach of the order. If that were to happen, he would risk a fine or, more likely, detention for up to five years.”
