COMMUNITY groups in Sutton are being encouraged to get in touch with the local rotary club to apply for a slice of its funding pot.

The Rotary Club of Sutton-in-Ashfield wants to hear from local groups based in, or serving, Sutton and who are making a real difference to their community.

President Danny Patterson said: “In a recent Chad we thanked local people for their generous support at our Christmas prize draw and sleigh collections.

“As promised we are now planning to distribute money to local worthy causes.”

Any group or organisation can apply for some of the cash and all they need to do is fill in a simple application form.

These can be downloaded from.sina-rotary.org.uk or by email from john@johnpearce.org.uk.

Rotn John Pearce, chairman of community services, said: “We want to hear from voluntary groups and local charities who can demonstrate how they are helping locally and why they need our help.

“We will consider all applications in order to decide which groups to support.”
