A man who breached his ASBO to go food shopping for his gran avoided an immediate custodial sentence.
Philip Humphries (21) of Leamington Drive, Sutton, was caught buying groceries in Farmfoods in the town.
He had been spotted by an off-duty PCSO, and staff in the shop recognised him.
As well as breaking the conditions for an anti-social behaviour order because of a long record for shoplifting, he was also on a 12-week sentence, suspended for a year, for another matter relating to a case in May of last year.
He was told by Mansfield magistrates to pay £180 in fines and costs, and another week was added to his sentence.
