SLIDESHOW: Budding entrepeneurs at Sutton’s Mapplewells Primary School show off their skills
YOUNGSTERS from Sutton’s Mapplewells Primary School have been showing off their creative skills as part of the school’s very own Dragon’s Den.
Each class from year one to year six were given the task of creating, advertising and eventually selling a product of their choosing as part of the annual project
During the scheme a group of year two pupils created a short film for their film company. And all classes compete with no separation regarding age.
On the final day three independent judges were called in and the students were given the opportunity to sell their products for the last time. The judges included Simon Martin, principal of Sutton Centre Community College
Fran Marshall, a teacher at the school, said: “It is my dream to see this spread and have schools across the county competing with each other”.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 7th March where there will be four prizes up for grabs. The prizes on offer are for most amount of profit, for entrepreneurship and two Sutton Centre awards for overall performance and for entrepreneurship excellence.
