Residents with financial, health or job worries are being supported by a new initiative.

North East Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau has set up an information point in Bolsover Library to help people find information about a wide range of issues including housing, debt, training, skills, welfare rights and getting back to work.

Councillor Dave Allen, Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member for health and communities, said: “We want our libraries to serve as central information points in communities and the new venture with CAB is part of this plan. The information point is designed to help people help themselves but to provide them with support if they need it. We’re keen to see how well this pilot works to see if there’s potential to roll it out across the county.”

The information point will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm at the library.
