The current Youth Mayor, Tanna Nita, said “Being Youth Mayor has been amazing; it’s allowed me to do loads such as the Royal Defence conference.
“It’s also allowed me to work within the community with the cadet forces.
“I would recommend anyone to run for Youth Mayor as it teaches you life skills, you can meet interesting people and give back to the community.”
Becoming the Youth Mayor would be a huge boost to anybody’s CV and job prospects.
Students who are between the ages of 14-18 years can apply for the post and those who are interested are asked to contact their school.
