KIND-hearted midday supervisors at Forest Town Primary & Nursery School have served up a generous donation to Chad’s ongoing MRI Scanner Appeal.
The six-strong team of Sue Grafton, Joanne Bonsall, Betty Gowland, Sue Woods, Jean Allott and Lynn Wright handed over a tasty cheque for £240.63, raised largely at their Christmas Fayre through raffles, tombola, cake stalls and good old festive fun.
Gary Ineson, headteacher at the Clipstone Road West school, praised the women’s continued efforts, in particular their most recent dedication to a charity that is dear to them all.
He said: “Over the last few years, we’ve lost a couple of midday supervisors to cancer, so it was an easy choice as this is a charity close to their hearts. These ladies work very hard and do all the fundraising off their own bat. It’s great to see it put to good use.”
The school’s motto is belong, aim high, succeed. It’s midday supervisors certainly succeeded in going that extra mile for our MRI appeal.
