Royal visit to Southwell Minster

THE Duke of Kent, centre, is shown around the grounds of Southwell Minster by the Bishop of Southwell, George Cassidy, left, and John Guille, Dean of Southwell, during a special royal visit yesterday.

A 900th anniversary service was held during the Duke's visit to celebrate the many crafts and trades people that have helped create and maintain the minster, with architects, stone masons, scaffolders and other craftsmen joining in the event.
