Drink driving

Mary Langton 55, of Carter Lane Mansfield admitted driving her Fiat Punto with 156 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath when the legal limit is 35mcg at Mansfield on May 12. She also pleaded guilty to driving with 161 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath in Mansfield on May 11. She was given a 10 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. The reason the offence was so serious was two offences with exceptionally high readings and the second offence was committed while on bail. An order was made with a 12 month alcohol treatment requirement and a rehabilitation activity requirement . Langton was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge and costs of £85. She was disqualified from driving for three years.

Vasile Silvu Merlescu 38, of Leamington Drive Sutton admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath. He was fined £250 and disqualified from driving for 16 months with a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85.

Gareth Glaves 24, of Turner Lane, Boughton admitted driving with 45 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath when the legal limit is 35 mcg. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. He also admitted committing the offence whilst subject to the order of a conditional discharge but no action was taken on the breach.

Benjamin Thomas Turner 31, of Diamond avenue, Rainworth admitted driving with 48mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when the legal limit is 35 mcg. He was disqualified from driving for 4 months with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Theft

Joanne Beardsley 46, of Outram Street, Sutton stole meat from WM Morrisons of a value unknown. The offence was committed during the operation of a 10 week suspended sentence order for burglary and theft. She also pleaded guilty to failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail for criminal proceedings. Beardsley was committed to prison with overall sentence of 7 weeks. She was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £80

Nathan Dean Ford 25, of Woodhouse Road, Mansfield , admitted stealing Paco Rabanne aftershave worth £48.60 from Boots, a pack of Gillette razor blades valued at £30 from Wilkinsons , Gillette razor blades worth £20 from Wilkinsons, and electrical items from B&M. A community order was made with a drug rehabilitation requirement, to be reviewed every five weeks for six months with compensation for the goods to be paid, a victim surcharge of £85 and costs of £85.

Andrew George James 39, of Michaels Street, Sutton admitted stealing three cctv cameras from Javier Europe Ltd. A community order was made with an unpaid work requirement of 180 hours within the next 12 months . He was ordered to pay compensation of £465, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

David Ian Fisher 31, of Kirkby Road, Kirkby admitted entering as a trespasser and stealing confectionary a till drawer and a charity collection box at a property on Albert Street Mansfield. He also admitted stealing £5 of chocolate from Poundworld. He was committed to prison for a total of 18 weeks because of poor record of previous convictions and crimes committed within days of release from custody.

Fraud

Nick Nigel Bentley 25, of Jennison Street Mansfield admitted dishonestly taking payment for a number of items for and not providing the goods intending to make a gain for himself. This included a £20 Dummy, dishonestly taking £150 payment for a caravan, £210 for a caravan holiday and another £60 payment for a caravan; £300 for another caravan holiday, a further £150 for a caravan holiday; £200 for an iPad , £50 for an Apple Mac computer and a further £190 for an iPad. He was committed to prison for 24 weeks concurrent, suspended for 12 months, with a 12 months supervision requirement and 100 hours unpaid work requirement. He was ordered to pay compensation for each offence and pay a victim surcharge of £80 and court costs of £85.

Violence

Callum Pickering 18, of Sherwood Street, Warsop pleaded guilty to assaulting a man causing bodily harm. A community order was made with an unpaid work requirement of 120 hours within the next 12 months, £250 compensation and costs of £51.

Liam James Pickering 23, of Robin Hood Avenue Warsop, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm jointly with Liam Pickering. He was given a community order with a 12 hour unpaid work requirement and ordered to pay £250 compensation with £51 costs.

Amanda Jayne Coleman 42, of Station Road Sutton pleaded guilty to assaulting a man. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay compensation of £30 and a victim surcharge of £30.

Kyle John Law 19, of Crow Trees Drive Sutton pleaded guilty of assaulting a man occasioning actual bodily harm. A community order was made with a 180 hour unpaid work requirement. He was ordered to pay £1,000 compensation and £85 costs.

Melanie Wilson 22, of Stoneyford Court, Sutton admitted assaulting a policeman in the execution of his duty. She was ordered to pay compensation of £50, fined £80 with costs of £85. Wilson also pleaded guilty to damaging a Ford Focus police car.

Steven Layton 39, of Moray Square, Mansfield pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her. He was fined £370, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and costs of £85. The injured party did not wish for compensation or a restraining order.

Criminal damage

Mark Roberts, aged 24, of no fixed address admitted assaulting a woman in Mansfield by beating her. The offence was committed while a community order made by Nottinghamshire Magistrate’s court was in force for assaulting a policewoman. A community order was made with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 18 days with a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £150.

Miscellaneous

Craig Worthington , 33 of Saundby Avenue Mansfield pleaded guilty to sending an indecent message to a woman on Facebook. He also admitted damaging a car belonging to the same woman. A community order was made. He was ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency for six months with a rehabilitation activity requirement. A restraining order was made and Worthington was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 with £40 costs.

Gareth Lee Briggs 35, of Chaucer Street, Mansfield pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was fined £150 with £85 costs and victim surcharge of £30.

Threats

Jonathon Taylor, 32 of Eakring Road, Mansfield was found guilty of threatening behaviour towards a man . He was fined £805, with compensation of £50 , £80 victim surcharge and £200 costs.
