A recovering Mansfield drug addict who withdrew hundreds of pounds using another person’s bank card has appeared in court.
Benjamin Trevor Ross (27) of Fiskerton Court, claimed he found the wallet on the street and it had a pin number with the card, details that the victim said were not true.
Admitting a charge of theft by finding and six charges of fraud to Mansfield magistrates, he was spotted on CCTV withdrawing sums of cash totalling £280 from ATMs in Mansfield in July, including Oaktree Lane, Tesco.
Ross, who had been on heroin for 10 years, is also facing an assault charge, which he denies and is set to stand trial on 13th November.
The magistrates decided to sentence him on all charges after his trial.
