Fire crews from four different stations were called out yesterday, Tuesday 19th August, after a van fire raged out of control and damaged a bungalow.

Appliances from Blidworth and Ashfield initially rushed to the scene on Milton Crescent, Ravenshead, after receiving the call at 3.32pm.

They found the van fire had spread to the garage of the dormer bungalow.

A further appliance from Arnold was called on, as was an aerial ladder platform from Mansfield.

Reports suggest the property and the van were severely damaged in the blaze, which the crews tackled using four breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, two main jets and a nine-metre ladder.

The crews did not leave the scene until after 7pm.
