Radio listener hits £100,000 jackpot

Aaron Cooper landed the life-changing cash prize on Heart Radio after correctly naming the secret stars for ‘Who’s On Heart’, a competition in which soundbytes of celebrities speaking were played followed by a number of clues.

It lasted more than 135 days and there were more than 1,000 incorrect answers given by listeners across the country.

That was until Aaron landed the top prize by guessing singer Heather Small from 90s pop group, M-People.

And the singing icon was even on hand to join in the celebrations when 30-year-old Aaron visited the Heart studio in London.

Aaron said: “I’m still in shock - I’ve been listening every day, and just can’t believe I’ve won.

“This £100,000 is going to change my life.

“I’ve always been a fan of M People, and so when Heather arrived at the Heart studio today to present me with my prize, I was completely blown away.

“I managed to keep it all a secret from my kids, and to be able to surprise them with the news today and celebrate with Heather has been a really magical experience that we’ll never forget.”

Heather Small said: “I couldn’t resist the opportunity to surprise Aaron by presenting him with his prize.

“I’m thrilled for him, and it’s been truly wonderful to celebrate with him and his family today at Heart.”

Asked what the father-of-two would do with the money he said: “ I have no idea, a nice holiday, maybe Disney World, something like that.

“It’s a dream but it’s always been quite expensive.”

Heart listener Aaron Cooper from Warsop in Mansfield scooped a massive £100,000 this week with the biggest competition on the radio, ‘Who’s On Heart’, when he correctly guessed Heather Small as the secret celebrity that thousands of listeners across the country have been trying to identify for months.

Aaron, 30, takes home the life-changing amount of money thanks to Heart, the UK’s biggest commercial radio brand. The M People singer herself joined in the celebrations by paying a surprise visit to the Heart studio today to present Aaron and his family with their prize.

Aaron has revealed that he will be spending the money on taking his two young children on a once in a lifetime trip to Disney World.

Before Aaron took home the massive £100,000 prize, Heart listener Sophie scooped £20,000 by guessing Mark Zuckerberg and listener Leticia won £10,000 by identifying Emma Stone as the other two celebrities featured in ‘Who’s On Heart.’
