Pupils at Sutton’s Hillocks Primary School have been discussing why they love Ashfield as part of a competition organised by MP GloriaDe Piero.
The competition involved schools from across the district. But it was Tianey Brearley and Alfie Parker who impressed the most.
Tianey said: “You get to make lots of friends with people in Ashfield.
“I also like that we have got an ice hockey rink in Sutton.”
Alfie said he also loved Ashfield for it’s friendly spirit.
“The school is a good school that does not tolerate bullying.
“Everyone gets on and are friends and that is something I really like.
“I also like the library, I like reading and love books so it’s great having a library so close.”
