Police warn villages surrounding A612 to lock doors after spate of burglaries

A spate of house burglaries have taken place between Lowdham and Southwell.

Police are warning residents in the villages around the A612 corridor from Lowdham to Southwell to remain vigilant after a number of burglaries last week.

The burglaries have mainly occurred during the daytime and quantities of electrical equipment and jewellery has been stolen during these offences.

Apple products including Ipads or Iphones have also been targeted.

The devices can have a ‘Find my Iphone’ or ‘Find my Ipad’ application installed free of charge, which in most of these offences had not been utilised.

This is software that can accurately track the location of your Apple device in the event of loss or theft.

Police are advising people to download the app from Itunes.

Residents should report any suspicious activity to Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or if it is believed that an offence is in progress call 999.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
