Police are warning those who continue to commit antisocial behaviour in a Mansfield business park could find themselves with a criminal record.

They are taking a zero tolerance approach to people who cause a nuisance to local businesses and shoppers at Mansfield Leisure Park with the renewal of a dispersal order.

Over the past two years there have been issues in the car parks of Sainsbury’s, Odeon, McDonalds and Pure Gym, creating an intimidating and dangerous environment for customers.

Problems include noise nuisance, littering, loitering and wheel spinning in the car parks.

The order means officers can remove people in groups of two or more and direct them not to return for a 24 hour period or face arrest and seizure of their vehicle. The order has been renewed and will be in affect until 26th August.

PCSO Davison said: “In these operations we plan on moving on and logging repeat offenders and ticketing people for motoring offences and littering.

“We are also tackling young drivers taking out fraudulent insurance policies whereby they are declaring their parents the main drivers but are primarily using the vehicles for their own social use.”

If you wish to report incidents phone 101 or email Mansfield Town Centre Beat Team on mansfieldtowncentrebeat@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk.
