Pedestrian injured in Mansfield dies from his injuries

St. Peter's Way, Mansfield.

St. Peter's Way, Mansfield.

A PEDESTRIAN injured in a road crash in Mansfield has died.

Adam Falowski (32) was crossing the road at St Peter’s Way when he was involved in a collision with a grey Vauxhall Corsa.

The incident happened yesterday, Sunday 17th March, at 3.20pm.

Mr Falowski, of Mansfield, was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre but later died from his injuries.

The man who was driving the Corsa was taken to King’s Mill Hospital for minor injuries, but he has since been discharged.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

Det Sgt James Greely said: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone that saw the grey Vauxhall Corsa, and the manner in which it was being driven, prior to the collision.

“We believe the car may have travelled along the A60 south-bound towards St Peter’s Way. If you saw it please get in touch.”

A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on bail.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DS Greely at Nottinghamshire Police’s Crash Investigation Unit on 101 ext 2229 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
